Azamara Club Cruises: because gays love travel

MeetMeOnBoard.com members have twice crowned Azamara Club Cruises Best Small Ship Cruise Line for LGBT Travelers in the annual CRUIZIE © Awards.

That’s no surprise to me. I’ve personally discovered a major risk in traveling with Azamara: being spoiled for any other cruise experience.*

When my husband, Denni, and I sailed aboard Azamara Quest we were among only 686 other well-traveled cruisers —not just vacationers—alongside a staff and crew who love their roles aboard the ship. It was outstanding. Maybe that’s why Azamara is calling their experience “the voyage for those who love travel.”

The ships themselves are a perfect size: not so big that you feel lost, but not so small you feel squeezed. Plus they’re lovely without being gaudy; sophisticated but not stuffy . Alongside great food, Azamara includes selected spirits, wines and beers, and specialty coffees.

Azamara knows that most of us cruise to explore destinations .

  • They not only take cruisers to exquisite (and many gay-bucket list) spots from Istanbul to Ko Samui to Recife, Azamara ships often  spend longer in port than other cruise lines and feature overnight stays.  Their trademark is “Longer Stays, More Overnights and Night Touring.”
  • That’s a real plus for gay cruisers who love to immerse in nightlife when we travel, whether it’s playing in the bars of Mykonos, learning the tango in Buenos Aires, or lingering to the wee hours with newfound local friends in Panama City and Ibiza.
  • The size of Azamara’s ships also allows them closer access in ports like Bangkok, Seville, Marseille, Ho Chi Ming City, St. Petersburg and Bordeaux to name a few, they call it “The Center of Town experience.”

If you truly love travel, the Azamara experience is for you. I encourage you to learn more about the Azamara difference and why they’ve bested every other small ship cruise line in the CRUIZIE Awards.
