MeetMeOnBoard.com is all about connecting LGBT people who love to cruise. Usually that happens on cruise ships.
But a couple of years ago, we thought “gee, it might be fun to bring people together on land, too.” We asked if you’d be interested, and the majority said “yes,” so after a lot of scheduling and planning, it finally happened! A Friends of Dorothy meeting on land!
Fort Lauderdale (which won “Best Embark/Debark Port for LGBT Passengers in the 2013 CRUIZIE Awards ) was an obvious choice for our launch Port Party due to the very high number of members who live there.
On Tuesday, November 19, along with our party sponsors Norwegian Cruise Lines (winner of a 2013 CRUIZIE and agency LGBT Getaways/CruiseOne, Mark, Dale, and Randall welcomed some 80 cruisers to Pur Lounge at the DAPUR restaurant for an evening of nibbles, drinks, mingling, flirting, and a just a short program–which included prizes for many guests, based on their answers to trivia questions such as “who’s been on the most cruises,” “who’s sailed the most cruise lines,” and “what port city does Randall live in.”
Check out a few pics from this VERY FUN evening, and plan to join us at a future Port Party! We’d welcome your suggestions on where it should be (and why).
Thank you for joining our mailing list. Please tell your friends about us and we hope you can join us on an upcoming MeetMeOnboard group cruise.
You will be able to opt-out at anytime.
