VACAYA Makes History With First US-Based River Cruise for LGBTQ+

Mark den Hartog • Aug 05, 2020

New Orleans and The Mighty Mississippi River

VACAYA is a recent entry into the LGBTQ+ full-ship charter market. Randle Roper and his crew are getting good reviews, so we’d like to share news from their calendar.

Nov 14-22, 2021, Vacaya will sail the mighty Mississippi River on the American Queen Steamship Company American Duchess. This is a 7-night round trip cruise from gay-friendly New Orleans.

VACAYA will be making history with the first LGBTQ+ charter on a river boat in North America. It combines the advantages of small-ship cruising (like more personal service and no crowds) with being close-to-home for North Americans.

What’s included? You’ll get beer and wine with dinner, WIFI, and included excursions in most ports of call. Importantly, one night at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside pre-cruise is part of the package. This gives you a chance to kick up your heels in one of the nation’s great party cities.

As always, MeetMeOnboard travel and cruise expert Adam Martindale can help you book this cruise.
