    cruisedoor

Hi Guys, Found the picture of our last door decorations and thought I’d share. Since this is a Halloween cruise maybe we’ll go a little different.

Hi Randall, I read your post a while ago and it prompted me to post the picture! I love decorated doors also. It adds character to an already fun trip.

    Too early for costume ideas?

Is it too early for costume ideas? I wonder if people decorate their doors like they do on the all gay charters?

I would highly recommend that you decorate your door! We did a Holland America cruise last year and decorated the door and everyone loved it. Here are 2 things you must attach to your door:

      1. Magnetized business card holder (your names & contact info)
      2. Magnetized small white board with markers (other members can leave notes)

You can buy both at the dollar store. The white board is great since friends and strangers can write you notes. Just keep the notes clean ;)

We have decorated before but it was on an all gay charter. We didn’t know if it was done on group cruises. We bough a magnetic hook and attached a rainbow feather wreath to our door. I’ll see if I can find a picture.

You can do whatever you wish! I think more and more people are doing it even on mainstream cruises. Once again, we gays start all the trends.

Aquafest Halloween 2010 – NCL Dawn

Hi All, My partner and I have booked the Aquafest Halloween 2010 cruise onboard the NCL Dawn. This will be our first cruise with Aquafest and we would love to hear your reviews / suggestions. They get glowing reviews on all of the boards and we are very excited. We have traveled in the past with RSVP and had a wonderful time but we purchased a home this year and the Aquafest pricing was very budget friendly compaired to RSVP / Atlantis. We look forward to meeting new friends at sea! Tim

I’m actually thinking about going on this cruise. I was on a Halloween cruise a few years ago and had the time of my life! Like you, I have heard only positive things about Aquafest. I have been on one Atlantis cruise and really enjoyed it but with this nasty recession, I’ve learned to budget. It looks like Aquafest will give you all the fun plus will put extra money in your pocket for the cocktails!

Have a great cruise and can’t wait to see the costumes.

Steve, Come on! Join us! I completely understand about the budget. Tom at Aquafest made it attractive with reduced deposit and last payment in July. That gives me plenty of time to save up and sell some junk on ebay. I’d love to know where all the disposable income gay people are supposed to have is.

I’m going to seriously think about it. Here’s the problem, you haven’t seen my bar bill after 7 days at sea. I don’t think the TARP funds will cover that. ;)

Last cruise our tab was $400 in just booze. We were a little too free in buying rounds one night. We havent touched Jagermeister since! I don’t see a Gay Cruise Stimulus Package on the horizion so we’ll just book and TRY to control the drinking.

On our last cruise, we visited Costco and bought a few bottles of Rum. We put them in an extra suitcase and gave the porter $10.00 and a wink. OK…he was cute too. Magically, it was the first luggage to appear at our cabin door and everything was in good shape. I don’t do that often but hey, there’s a recession going on.

We did the old standby of filling empty mouthwash bottles with vodka. Then like kids sneaking booze into the prom we bought mini bottles at one of the ports and hid them in our underwear when we got back onboard! What we won’t do to save a buck.

We have just booked the Norwegian Dawn, which Aquafest is going to use for their Halloween Cruise this year. What did you think of the ship?
