A friend and I finished a great cruise from Long Beach to Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta on the Carnival Splendor. We especially enjoyed associating with our dinner table group, including several nights with some of them to hear the group Music Manila play. Loved them! Everything about the ship was outstanding, even thought the decor is over the top. Didn’t find very many gay folks, even though dropping by the bar a couple of times where there was a scheduled friends of Dorothy meeting. However, we were well accepted despite the fact that we were two guys traveling together and some folks assumed us to be a couple. The water in late May in Cabo was cold for snorkeling. One tip: we went to Casa de Oro beach resort in Cabo and as long as we ate and drank there, they allowed us to lounge in their lounge chairs with umbrelllas and towels provided.
